FYI: Most of the stores sell to both wholesale and retail, and on Saturdays, many "wholesale-only" stores will sell to the general public. Shopping SA & LAFD is all about finding the latest fashion trends for cheap. Santee Alley is a stylist's dream come true.

SATURDAYS are the busiest days in the Alley.

True, many stores are wholesale-only (solo mayoreo), though on Saturdays they will sell to the general public. Signs will be posted on the outside if they are not open to the general public.

Many stores don't accept credit cards. TAKE CASH. Lots of it ATMs are located throughout LAFD. Check out the LAFD Map Guide below for exact locations.

Bargaining is encouraged. Store owners are more likely to lower the prices if you buy more than one item.

Most stores do not have dressing rooms.

Merchandise varies from day to day. If you see something you like - buy it now, it may not be there later.

Eat the HOT DOGS: they're amazing. So are the Spicy Fruit Cocktails.

BRING WATER BOTTLES. Public restrooms are not really an option either. There are a few, like at the food court around the block from the Alley. You will need quarters for these. You can always go to Starbucks or Micky D's. Stay clear of BK.

Serious shoppers bring luggage strollers and fill them up!

Lots of roof-top parking, for a song. Like 5 $'s (bucks) for the day.
Santee Alley is located in the heart of LA's Fashion District. a ninety-block/over 1,000 shop area directly east of downtown.

Located between Santee Street and Maple Avenue starting on Olympic Boulevard, Santee Alley is one of the most well-known international shopping destinations. Housed in an open-air marketplace and known for its bazaar-type atmosphere, the Alley has over 300 wholesale and retail vendors selling everything from clothing and accessories, to perfume and toys. And of course, knock-offs. Remember too that bargaining with vendors can get you 30-70% off retail.

* Open 365 days a year, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

I am denim OBSESSED! Especially for Rock & Republics..the fitment is sick and I just love that they're super Rock n Roll with skulls, leather, sparklies..and ish... white not have a flashy bum right?

I started collecting denim last month, and I can't stop...

I ordered my 2nd pair of FB's on her site like 2 days later!!!! LMAO!!! My 7's are getting faded, but they're that really comfy faded, and I don't wanna get rid of them just yet, but yes... I have denim for Canada... so stoked.
I was never one to pay a pretty penny for denim until I slid into a REAL pair, I was usually rockin F21 denims or Mossimo from Target...but this is...Pure LUST from here on out....so ya no turning back ever again.

Look at this SKULL for Rock and Republic..... SICK right?

                                               i ♥ my rocks...

Our day of shopping ended at Trader Vics over at LA Live (right by the Staples Center) and I have this school girl crush on the GM, so I come to enjoy his vast selection of rums and cocktails while staring and munch munching on my Calamari with Wasabi Mayo and my Hummus w/ Grilled Pitas.... Here's the photo run-down of the fab'ness

My school girl crush in the suit...

the house vodka on the rocks to try, it was incredibly smooth...
the drive home uh -- not so much... lmao. (wonder what he slipped in there... lol)

Our tiki happy hour was absolutely awesome and I came away
with "crush" digits, so I'd say the day ended in the best way possible. (CJ even managed to leave his visa card on the table in absent-mindness, so we had to come back..lmao)
